The Stable Experience

"I heard that there's a stable that's open to the public. Stable 49. Maybe we could go there to see what a stable is like?" Lali suggested.

Lali and the rest of the squad were walking around in the Wastelands having a chat.

"A stable that's open to the public? I've never heard of anything like that." Britlit said.

"Well I'm not lying. You'll find it in the mines. Anypony know where that is?"

"Right in front of us," Toto said in a flat tone.

The squad stopped for a moment. Yup, he wasn't lying.

"That's convenient."

-

Hooves clattered against the tile ground of the stable entrance. There were stairs that rose up to a platform with 2 seats on the left and right, a soda machine, and the entrance to another room.

The squad would walk into that other room. It was a wider area, mostly empty. On the right was another room, and on the left was an elevator.

"I guess we go in the elevator," Toto said.

"You're the one that's actually lived in a stable. Well, besides Britlit," Lali added.

"My stable was a complete trainwreck. Britlit's was the greatest. Why would he be so damn nice then?"

"Because he isn't an idiot," Sharie said jokingly..

"Says the one that just threw an insult," Lali came back.

They'd chuckle a bit and walk to the elevator. As a usual elevator, the inside had the normal emergency buttons and floor buttons. The only difference is that there were only 2 floors.

Toto would press the button for Floor 1 as the stable should be underground. The doors of the elevator closed, and the ride down began.

Some dialogue on the speaker would play. It was playing a radio that literally only Britlit was familiar with. "Ah, that's the new radio station. Stay 42 Radio."

The radio was playing a live message. "Hello everypony. Your favorite lady Pegasus is here~. Do you want to know what I like about the stables? The people. I like how rough they can be. I'm talking ESPECIALLY about my little Qieube. You really bring on a match~."

"Oh jesus christ, one of THEM on the radio. These always pop up," Toto said.

"How do you know that when you don't have a pipbuck?" Lali asked.

"The bar has a jukebox."

"Ah, yeah..."

The radio finished. "If I walk up to you at the stable, you might be having a fun time tonight~. Cheers, and stay 42, maybe even 69 if you'd like~."

The elevator arrived to the 1st floor.

The squad walked out into the stable area.

"Woah..." Lali mumbled as he let his eyes gaze around the stable. "So much technology."

"Very populated for a stable. Let's sit on a nearby bench so we don't block the entrance," Toto suggested.

The squad would move to a nearby bench and sit down on it.

They'd look around for a little bit not making any interaction until a security guard that was a Zebra spotted them.

The guard would walk up to them.

The squad got anxious until the guard spoke up.

"Haven't seen you guys in here before," the guard spoke cheerfully, "Do you actually live in the stable?"

"No, we're actually just in here passing by. we haven't really been in a stable before," Britlit explained.

"It isn't rare to see someone that wasn't born in a stable. The outsiders get more lucky if you know what I mean. If you want, I can give you a tour."

"Sure."

"Alright, also I shouldn't forget to say this, but my name's Zapat. You are?"

"Britlit. A pleasure to see you."

"Well, let's get you set on the first thing. I'm a security guard for this stable. Basically, my job here is to make sure you don't run around as an idiot with a shotgun."

"Try me," Sharie said.

"Anyways, let me show you the cafeteria."

-

"The cafeteria is obviously the place where you get your food. I'm pretty damn sure I don't need to explain this," Zapat explained.

"I'm pretty sure that's correct," Lali added.

"Well, let me show you the security office, though ONLY the office."

-

"This is the security office. You can come here to report when there's a bad boy or something, or someone will announce it on the stable radio," Zapat explained.

"Ni-" Toto was about to say before a prisoner new came running through the door which led to the jail cells.

"What the?! HEY!" Zapat shouted.

Zapat would go siren the alarm.

-

The alarm of the stable blared. "WARNING, A PRISONER HAS BROKEN OUT! PLEASE ESCORT ALL DWELLERS INTO A SAFETY ROOM!"

"You're lucky I get paid enough for this! Follow me!" Zapat ordered.

The squad got up and followed Zapat.

"I bet I could beat that pony's down so hard that it'll come right off!" Sharie flexed.

"Yeah, no," Lali responded.

They'd be escorted into a sleeping residence, and Zapat would lock the door.

"I'm gonna stay here just in case things goes wrong," Zapat told.

-

"So you have experience working for the stable, right?" Toto asked Zapat.

"Why would I be here then?" Zapat responded.

"True. Do you think you could have a bit of fun outside?"

"Not alone."

"Well, I feel like we could use one more pony on our team. You think you could join?"

"I got to at least have sense of what it is."

"We can talk about it outside the stable."

"Alright. I'll let you know when I'm on break."

-

Zapat and Toto had arrived at Luna Park. They'd take seats around the fountain.

"So what is this team thing you have going on?" Zapat questioned.

"Basically we plan to just do a lot of things," Toto explained.

"What a variety."

"Yes."

"I can try to join, but it might not be often."

"Nice. Maybe you can help us decide something to do."

"Haha, no."

"Alright."

-

Zapat Nelo is a Zebra that works for the stable as a security guard. He's very socialitive and has a talent of explaining things like Lali.

He used to be a medic, but he decided it wasn't fit for him.

Zapat doesn't have that much friends, but a lot of acquaintances.

Zapat will never be afraid to start a conversation with anyone. He'll be a good addition to the team.
